Epistemology and Philosophy of Science

By analyzing, problematizing, and (re)evaluating the foundations of knowledge (with a great emphasis on scientific knowledge), one sheds light, ipso facto, on the very foundations of the knowledge society.

This section is dedicated to papers addressing problems from the fields of epistemology and philosophy of science placed under the guiding scope of the two structuring concepts, experience and explanation. The papers should focus on subjects addressing (but not necessarily limited to) the following topics: the history, philosophy and the methodology of science, social, moral, political, religious, art, linguistic, and gender epistemology, praxeology.

Anthropology and Cultural Studies

Anthropology as fundamental science of the human being studies the multiple experiences inside traditional societies: the economical, the religious, the political, the ties of kinship. All these significant experiences are systematized through integrative, normative, constructive explanations within the great currents of anthropological thought: evolutionism, diffusionism, functionalism, culturalism, structuralism, dynamic anthropology. Any explanatory step is a glance towards an open universe such as the one studied by anthropology.

Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law

The ethical theories are explanative concepts regarding moral problems and experiences. Explanation and elucidation of the subjects addressed in moral debates bring more argumentative rigour to ethical discourse. Rationally founded, the means of ethical evaluation seek to eliminate common intuitions from moral debates. The explanations of phenomena and experiences in social life are found in the wide array of problems of the specific currents of social and political philosophy. From this perspective, the great themes of social and political philosophy are addressed and solved with objectivity, beyond partisanships of any kind.

Psychology and Educational Sciences

A society of knowledge, as our modern society is, is built on further broaden of the mind, on the experimentation and explanation of some new territory and answers, and on flexible adaptation to this new created universe, whether real or imagined. Education is the single functional and valid mechanism in this context. The present section discusses how education science together with the psychological ones support knowledge, and the works presented in section are intended to reveal trends, mechanism and laws that govern human progress.

Economic Theories and Practices

This section is dedicated to academics, researchers and experts interested in sharing experience and interacting about the interference of the Knowledge Society and the Economics. In this section the focus is set on the following topics: epistemological approaches of economical theories, the impact of economical experience on the knowledge society, managerial ethics.
